Building Stronger Communities, Wherever We Work

Aboriginal Engagement

Partnerships That Create Real Outcomes

Centrals is recognised as an industry leader in Aboriginal engagement and participation. We believe all businesses have a responsibility to support Aboriginal people, Aboriginal businesses, and the development of strong employment and training pathways.

Our skilled and growing workforce includes a strong proportion of First Nations employees, and we actively partner with Aboriginal organisations and suppliers to deliver meaningful economic participation across our projects.

We have established collaborative arrangements with Aboriginal groups and businesses across the Mid West and Goldfields regions and endeavour to spend a minimum of 10% of project budgets with Aboriginal suppliers, supporting sustainable, long‑term local benefit.

Key partnerships and initiatives

  • One example of this approach is the Yagahong Alliance, a joint venture between Central Earthmoving and the Yugunga‑Nya People, who are the Traditional Owners of the lands surrounding Meekatharra, which was established to deliver services to the DeGrussa Copper Mine, owned by Sandfire Resources NL and operating on Yugunga‑Nya country.
  • Centrals is also delivering works for Main Roads Western Australia through a joint venture with the Carey Group, with a strong focus on Aboriginal training, development and sustainable employment outcomes.

Our Commitment to Equal Opportunity
